Autumn 610 MR
The Heroes arrive at the Caverns of Lost Hope, where Dalien Claw and a small army of bandits are camped. Dalien reveals to them that Hadrien Pelien is hiding inside Ghoere's borders, in a small fortress. He also informs the Heroes that they're now prisoners, and that they will be ransomed to their parents for a hefty sum.
While awaiting the ransom, the heroes start to turn a few bandits against Dalien, and even manage to convince Dalien, a patriot at heart, to work for them once the issue of the ransom is solved. Dalien agrees, and, after receiving payment, he releases the Heroes.
They reach the stronghold where Hadrien is hiding togheter with 30 faithful bandits, and after a few night attacks, Michael manages to sneak in the fortress, and assassinate Hadrien. The Heroes return to Tieghan Castle.
In the next few months, Ghoere will blame the whole "accident" on a renegade Commander, and promises Tieghan to return the occupied province in "due time". The Heroes have no time to further handle this issue, since they've been summoned by Emperor Agelmore to visit him at the capital.
In the City of Anuire, the Emperor entrusts an important mission to the Heroes: to reach the Ginatdowns, and convince Hrothwulf Sashason to finally claim his birthright, and unite the Rjurik lands under his rule, supported by the Heroes and the Empire of Anuire.
Togheter with Lord Thalion, the Heroes leave by ship for Dhoesone, where they proceed by horse. Stopping for the night in the town of Sevenecho, they're awakened by unsettling rumors: it seems someone has poisoned the wells of the town.
